Wii Spray

Looks like Spray Paint is going to a new medium… Virtual!
Although there are games that have featured Graff as a medium, this is the first I have seen that has made paint a ‘virtual’ tool.
There have been machines and other inventions that have been painting, but this is a device that is going to give an individual the ability to virtually paint!
As for how this is being applied to the Wii, we are not sure, but this is the beginning of a new age, and I am sure it is going to be impressive.
The actual device has over 120 levels of pressure, and will be able to help at angles that the user can feel comfortable. Whether you are left or right handed, this is a friendly for all.
It will be interesting to see how they apply this to stencils and other mediums that are part of the graff game, and as an artist, technique is key!
Looking forward to seeing what comes out of this.

Artist Shepard Fairey appears at closed-door hearing
Tuesday, March 10th, 2009
Artist Shepard Fairey appeared before a magistrate today for a closed-door hearing to determine whether he may face additional vandalism charges.
Fairey spent 90 minutes inside Brighton District Court for a hearing to show cause, which are closed to the public. Fairey refused to speak to reporters after the hearing. His attorney, Jeffrey P. Wiesner, said a statement would be e-mailed to the media later today.
Fairey also had a hearing scheduled for a nine-year-old graffiti charge. The case was continued until April 14.

Who Watches the Watchmen??!??
Monday, March 9th, 2009
As we usher in week two of Watchmen fortnight here at Boxwish, the Net is abuzz with talk of Rorschach, The Comedian and all the costumed heroes from Zack Snyder’s adaptation of the Alan Moore/ Dave Gibbons graphic novel. After all the hype and expectation the Watchmen finally got to take their cinematic bow this past weekend, totalling up box office numbers to the tune of $55 million in the US. This makes it the biggest opener of the year stateside and yet there’s still talk that it’s underperformed. However despite whether $55 million is big business or not, the world of these masked crime-fighters is seeping into our own by the looks of this Watchmen-inspired graffiti.
